The speculation intensified after a viral collage surfaced online showing Tobey Maguire and other actors, including Channing Tatum, allegedly on the Doomsday set. The image quickly spread as a potential leak, fueling rumors that Maguire might reprise his role. However, @MyTimeToShineH later clarified the collage was fake, writing, “I’ve confirmed that this photo is indeed fake. Sorry to disappoint.”
Despite the denial, Maguire remains a frequent subject of fan speculation. He portrayed Peter Parker in Sam Raimi’s trilogy, returned in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021, and appeared through archival footage in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. His name continues to trend whenever rumors of multiverse storylines emerge.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland’s future in the MCU also raises questions.
