Lewis Hamilton is grieving the death of his bulldog, Roscoe. The F1 star shared an emotional Instagram post announcing the death of his beloved pet with a heartfelt caption, revealing Roscoe passed away on Sunday, September 28, in his arms.

Lewis Hamilton is mourning the loss of his beloved dog, Roscoe. The F1 star announced on his Instagram that his beloved pet bulldog, Roscoe, died after being on life support for several days. He shared a short carousel of photos, posing and cuddling with Roscoe in the first two shots. The remaining shots show close-ups of the bulldog’s face and his paw.
The British race car driver revealed Roscoe died in his arms on September 28 at the age of 12. In his caption, he detailed the bulldog’s journey through health issues, persevering and fighting for his life till his last breath.
Hamilton expressed his gratitude towards his former pet and how he feels “so grateful and honoured to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and true friend.”
Furthermore, he revealed that bringing Roscoe home was the “best decision” that he “ever made” and that he “will forever cherish” his memories of their time together.
The F1 star also empathised with pet parents who have had to deal with the loss of their beloved pets and the ordeal they must have gone through. He ended the note by thanking all his fans and well-wishers for loving and supporting Roscoe over the years.
“Although it was so hard, having him was one of the most beautiful parts of life — to love so deeply and to be loved in return.”
