Tom Holland has cleared the air about his relationship with Zendaya at a recent event, which is now going viral, thanks to his statement. A clip, which was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) on September 29, shows a reporter saying, “I brought my daughter, and she got to meet your girlfriend. So, I was father of the year.”
It was during this time that the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” actor corrected the reporter, saying Zendaya is “fiancée.” His reaction sparked an uproar on the Internet, as it finally confirmed his engagement to the Disney star.
The couple’s relationship was first made public in 2021. However, the duo has always kept their romance a private affair amid their busy schedules. Fans always wondered about the next phase of their relationship. But none of the stars were vocal about their it.
However, it was later reported that the star proposed to his lady love during the 2024 holiday season at a family home. As per E! News, even his father, Dominic Holland, revealed in a January 10 Patreon post that the actor “had purchased a ring.”
His father also added that Tom “had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear…” The actress also created buzz at the 2025 Golden Globes, rocking her massive five-carat diamond on that finger.
