Charlie Puth Trolled For Performing Selena Gomez Collab on Her Wedding Day

Charlie Puth performed his hit song We Don’t Talk Anymore at a jazz club on his alleged ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez‘s wedding day. Puth released the song in 2016 as the third single from his debut studio album, Nine Track Mind. The song marked the first collaboration between the two singers.

Fans troll Charlie Puth for singing Selena Gomez collab

Charlie Puth stirs up controversy the same day his alleged ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, gets married to Benny Blanco. The 33-year-old performed the duo’s hit song, We Don’t Talk Anymore, at New York City’s Blue Note Jazz Club.

Pop Crave posted a video of the performance on their X account. In the video, Puth is wearing a simple olive-colored T-shirt as he croons the song while playing the piano. The caption of the video is, “Charlie Puth performs ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ at Blue Note Jazz Club in NYC.”

Unsurprisingly, fans have trolled Charlie Puth for singing a song featuring his alleged ex-girlfriend on her wedding day. “Don’t wanna know what dress you’re wearing tonight — ON HER WEDDING DAY,” one fan commented.

Another fan wrote, “The day of Selena’s wedding? LMAOOO he’s obsessed,” accompanied by crying emoticons. A third fan commented, “Bro still punching the air fumbling Selena Gomez,” with a GIF of the “Calm Down” singer giggling. Finally, one user penned, “He doesn’t have other songs he can perform???” accompanied by a laughing GIF.

Selena Gomez married her long-time music-producer fiancé, Benny Blanco, on September 27 at a private estate in Santa Barbara, California. The couple’s close friends, like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, and Camila Cabello, attended the wedding.

Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez never publicly confirmed their relationship, though the former has hinted at a brewing romance between them. Fans believe the 2018 track Attention was directed toward Gomez.

In fact, in an interview with Billboard, Puth even hinted at a brief romance between the couple during the making of We Don’t Talk Anymore. “I don’t kiss and tell, but the only way a song like that can come across as real is if there’s something else going on behind the scenes … Very short‑lived, very small, but very impactful … It wasn’t like I was the only person on her mind.”
