Walton Goggins, star of The White Lotus, has publicly responded after Pete Davidson suggested he might become the next actor to face a backlash from fans. Taking to Instagram, Goggins acknowledged the comments while stressing his gratitude for the opportunities he has received.

Davidson’s comments came during an appearance on This Past Weekend podcast, where he spoke about the nature of public admiration. He cited Pedro Pascal as an example, describing how the actor’s sudden rise in popularity was quickly followed by overexposure and criticism. He then remarked, “They’re gonna do it with Walton Goggins, [he] will be next. It’s like, we build everybody up, and now it’s so fast to turn. It’s within months.”

After The Hollywood Reporter highlighted Davidson’s remarks, Goggins responded on Instagram. In his post, he clarified that he had never met Davidson but expressed appreciation for his perspective. He then directed his focus to Pascal, calling him a “great man” and a close friend. The White Lotus actor added, “As a 53 yr old I’m acutely aware that every experience has a shelf life. I appreciate so many of you going on this journey with me.”
