The ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld consoles are all set for launch on October 16, 2025. Accordingly, fans keen on getting their hands on the new gaming device have either started or have completed pre-orders. Unfortunately, scalpers have entered the scene and taken advantage of the excitement. They have begun selling the devices via various online sites, trying to entice those who haven’t pre-ordered yet but are looking to do so.
Scalpers sell new Xbox console for $2500
Scalpers have taken advantage of the excitement surrounding the release of the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld consoles. They are selling them on sites like eBay for prices much higher than the original market prices. The devices are being sold for $2500 and at prices within the same range.
The ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X cost $599.99 and $999.99, respectively. You can pre-order them from retailers like Best Buy.
Both the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X allow you to play all the games you purchased from PC, Xbox, and other platforms. Both also have a 7″ 1080p touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and FreeSync Premium, which offers an ultra-smooth gameplay experience. In addition, both models offer RGB lighting, performance modes, and fan curves through Armoury Crate Special Edition (ACSE) or Xbox Game Bar. Both models’ M.2 SSDs operate at PCIe Gen4 speeds, which helps eliminate loading times.
However, the models differ when it comes to battery life. The ROG Xbox Ally has a 60Wh battery and offers up to 110 percent more battery life. Meanwhile, the ROG Xbox Ally X has an 80Wh battery, offering twice the battery life of the base model.
The models also feature different chips, both distinct from the original ROG Ally. The ROG Xbox Ally features AMD’s Ryzen Z2A, while the Ally X has the AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme. Despite the difference, both deliver strong performance, improved power efficiency, and better battery life than the previous generation.
The ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X have built-in controllers. However, they are also compatible with an Xbox controller or a PC-compatible gamepad.
