Jennifer Lawrence Draws Mixed Reactions For Dramatic Cape Look

Jennifer Lawrence’s latest red carpet appearance has not gone down well with everyone. The 35-year-old actress attended the Die, My Love photocall during the 73rd San Sebastián International Film Festival. Lawrence wore a black half-sleeved satin top with matching black loose trousers, featuring a dramatic cape look.

Jennifer Lawrence’s dramatic look has fans talking

Jennifer Lawrence made an appearance at the Die, My Love’s photocall in an interesting choice of an outfit. The Oscar-winning actress is as known for her style and fashion as she is for her movie choices, leaving many fans disappointed with her recent dramatic cape look.

The Hunger Games star wore a Phoebe Philo-designed black half-sleeved satin top with rolled sleeves and a slightly crumpled texture. She paired it with matching loose, wide-leg black trousers featuring a dramatic cape look. Lawrence wore her hair in a loose bun, with subtle makeup. She completed the look with delicate earrings.

However, it seems like the look hasn’t gone down well with a few fans. “Outfit aside… Did she not have an iron in the hotel room?” one fan wrote on X (formerlyTwitter). Another user commented, “Whoever put her into this outfit needs to be fired.” A third fan wrote bluntly, “God bless her, this is horrible.”

However, Lawrence’s fans came strongly to her defense, reiterating that her comfort and happiness is all that matters. “She looks comfortable! I see a lot of disapproval in the comments, but what people don’t get is that she’s paying homage to Woody Harrelson’s pajamas outfit at the Mockingjay premiere.”

Another fan reverberated the positive sentiment with, “If you truly are a fan of Jennifer Lawrence – you wouldn’t be slamming her for an outfit choice. Pea brains!” Another user also had some kind words of praise: “My queen’s still slaying like fine,” accompanied by a wine and smiley emoticon.

Lawrence’s upcoming film Die, My Love is about a new mother struggling with postpartum depression. Things soon get worse as psychosis. Lawrence plays the titular role of Grace. The film is scheduled to release on November 7.
