Peaky Blinders Creator Steven Knight Gives Exciting Update on Upcoming Film

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight recently gave an update regarding the release date of The Immortal Man, sending a wave of excitement among fans. The Peaky Blinders film was announced by Netflix in 2024, with Cillian Murphy returning as Tommy Shelby. It is the continuation of the popular Peaky Blinders show and has already wrapped production.

The Peaky Blinders creator recently teased when the release date window of The Immortal Man movie can be revealed.

While talking to Screen Rant, Steven Knight didn’t say much about the movie but stated, “There’ll be an announcement relatively soon, and I can tell you it’s really, really, really brilliant.”

As the filming of the movie is already done, it might soon arrive. Previously, Knight has expressed that he wants the movie to be released in theaters. While speaking about this, he told The Playlist in March 2025, “I really want the ‘Peaky’ fans who have been a big part of this to be watching it all together in one building.”

Steven Knight said that although communication with Netflix has happened only virtually, he wants the movie to be in cinemas. He added that he wanted the fans to watch the movie together. Knight further spoke about The Immortal Man and conveyed, “We wrapped on December 13th. And I have to say, it is mind-blowingly good.”

Additionally, actor Cillian Murphy has expressed his feelings regarding reprising the role of Tommy Shelby again. He told Netflix in December 2024, “It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me.” Murphy said that reuniting with Knight has been “very gratifying.” The Oppenheimer star further added that the movie “is one for the fans.”

Meanwhile, The Immortal Man movie is also done with its principal photography.
