In an exclusive report by US Weekly, a source stated to the publication that Nina Dobrev and Zac Efron are not in a relationship, despite being friends for over a decade. They continued, “Their friends always joke that they should date, but that is not what is going on. They have been there for each other through many phases of life and have always had each other’s backs.”
For those unversed, the High School Musical star has been friends with The Vampire Diaries alumna for over a decade now. They have sparked dating rumors in the past, too, but paid no heed and continue being good pals.
Furthermore, the source revealed that Dobrev is reeling from her amicable yet sudden breakup with long-time fiancé Shaun White, and that her family and close friends have rallied behind her for support. Meanwhile, Efron has also been a good friend to her during this difficult phase of her life.
