Charlie Sheen shares details about his cocaine habits
Charlie Sheen offered a candid look into his past struggles with cocaine during an interview on Australia’s 60 Minutes on Sunday. He revealed that at the height of his drug use, a Mexican cartel cut him off from his supply.
In a moment that stunned Channel 9 journalist Amelia Adams, Sheen explained, “They had never seen someone acquiring that kind of weight, you know, and so the only other people that they were delivering that kind of weight to were dealers, and they thought I was dealing on the side.”
The Two and a Half Men star also addressed the infamous rumor that he once smoked seven gram rocks of crack cocaine in a single sitting. “Well, we never like took one out of the pipe and put it on a scale,” he admitted, laughing.
Sheen added, “However, yeah, that was the amount that was cooked to get it into that form. I remember at one point the ‘Jaws’ moment, ‘Uh, we’re going to need a bigger pipe.’” To this confession, Adams remarked, “It is funny, but it’s also…you are lucky to be alive.”
Reflecting on his career and personal life during his eight-year run on Two and a Half Men, Sheen reflected on the challenges he faced. This included two failed marriages and raising four children amid the pressures of fame. He stated, “It was an imperfect storm of way too much stuff going on behind the scenes in my personal life. And I had back-to-back failed marriages. And then in the middle of all that, [I was] still trying to be front and center for [my] children, you know.”
Now eight years sober, Sheen expressed regret over how his time on the sitcom ended.
