This year, Emily Ratajkowski made her return to acting in a romantic comedy series, Too Much, which premiered in July 2025. It centers around a New York workaholic, devastated by her breakup, who moves to London. There, she takes up a new job and comes across a guy who is a walking red flag. They develop a connection that is impossible to ignore. In the series, Ratajkowski plays Wendy Jones. She is an influencer and Michael Zegen Zev’s love interest.

In an interview with Variety, she discussed her experience portraying Wendy and whether she was “working” through the tough phases of her career through this character. “When I shot [“Too Much”], I was about to turn 33. I’m a grown ass woman, with a child, and it just felt very natural and right to be doing the kind of roles and working with the kind of people who share the ideas I do around women and respect. So I wasn’t really working anything, but it felt really nice.”

Too Much is available to stream on Netflix.
