Taylor Swift Deposition Papers Lead to Arrest Outside Travis Kelce’s House

A bizarre legal step involving Taylor Swift, Justin Baldoni, and Blake Lively recently spilled over into Travis Kelce’s quiet Kansas neighborhood. A process server delivering deposition papers linked to Swift was arrested for trespassing outside the NFL star’s home.

Authorities in Leawood, Kansas, confirmed that a man named Justin Lee Fisher, a 48-year-old former police officer turned private investigator, was taken into custody on September 15 around 2 a.m. Fisher allegedly jumped the fence of Kelce’s gated community while attempting to serve deposition papers intended for Taylor Swift (via Star).

The documents were connected to Justin Baldoni’s ongoing legal case with actress Blake Lively, a case that has repeatedly tried to draw Swift into its orbit. Just two days before Fisher’s arrest, Judge Lewis Liman denied Baldoni’s legal team an extension to depose the pop superstar, ruling that the request lacked “appropriate diligence.”

Fisher, who previously served in law enforcement, said in a statement that he was simply trying to complete his assignment. “(I) wasn’t hurt or anything besides being arrested for doing my job and possibly losing my (private eye) license.” He is scheduled to appear in Leawood Municipal Court on October 15 to face trespassing charges.

Court documents state Fisher was officially charged with unlawfully entering a private residence within a restricted neighborhood. Security at Kelce’s property reported the incident, and the case is now under municipal review.

Baldoni allegedly pulled Swift’s name into filings related to his defamation and sexual harassment disputes with Lively, who accused him of harassment during the production of It Ends With Us.

Baldoni’s legal team argued that Swift had agreed to be deposed, but Swift’s lawyers denied this, stating she had “no material role” in the case and only acknowledged she could appear if legally compelled. Judge Liman sided with Swift’s attorneys, noting Baldoni’s team failed to provide evidence of a renewed subpoena. Meanwhile, Lively’s lawyers accused Baldoni of using Swift’s name to fuel media attention around the case.
