Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) is opening up about life as a dad again, and this time, he couldn’t stop praising Megan Fox. The two, who welcomed their daughter Saga Blade earlier this year, did have a rocky romantic past, but MGK made it clear that when it comes to parenting, he sees Fox as unmatched.
MGK talks about Megan Fox and Saga in new interview
Sitting down on The Jennifer Hudson Show on September 18, Machine Gun Kelly explained the story behind his newborn’s name. “My ancestors, and my family is Norwegian, and there’s a Norwegian goddess named Saga, and it means ‘epic story,’” he said. The name, he revealed, wasn’t chosen lightly. “And so we named her Saga because to get her on this earth through highs and lows, it truly was an epic story of love, pain, and a lot of magic.”
In the same breath, MGK couldn’t help but gush over Megan Fox’s parenting. “The person who is the greatest partner” and “the greatest person to have had a child with,” he said, describing the Jennifer’s Body actress. “She’s such a phenomenal mom.”
He also admitted the new parents keep going back and forth over who little Saga looks like. “Like last month she looked exactly like me and now she looks exactly like her. It changes, you know?”
While Saga is his newest addition to the family, Kelly is also dad to 16-year-old Casie, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Emma Cannon. Recently, Casie joined her dad at the Daily Front Row Fashion Media Awards, where he picked up the Style Icon Award. She also celebrated a milestone of her own, aka getting her first car.
Despite breaking off their engagement earlier this year, Us Weekly sources say Fox and MGK are in a much better place. According to them, their daughter has “brought them closer,” and while they aren’t officially putting labels back on, the pair have been spending most nights together with their baby.
