Marvel Rumor Gives Exciting Updates on Wolverine & Venom Games

A new rumor about Insomniac Games has hinted at the release date window for the Wolverine game. Additionally, fans might see Venom having a showdown with Carnage in his upcoming game, which is reportedly in development. This reported update comes after the future game line-up of Insomniac Games was leaked in a data breach in 2023.

Marvel’s Wolverine game still arriving in 2026

According to a report by MP1ST, the Wolverine game by Insomniac Games is expected to arrive in 2026. The update was shared by a source with the outlet. Following the data breach, it was revealed that the Wolverine game was already slated for a 2026 release. However, many fans believed that it was pushed back a year then, but that doesn’t seem to be true based on the recent rumor.

Since the data breach in 2023, Insomniac has not shared any updates regarding the development of the game. At that time, the company released a statement on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Like Logan..Insomniac is resilient. Marvel’s Wolverine continues as planned. The game is in early production. While we appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm, we will share official information about Marvel’s Wolverine when the time is right.”

Eddie Brock’s Venom to fight Carnage in new game

Based on the information shared by the insider, the Venom game will reportedly have the anti-hero taking on Carnage, who will be the main antagonist of the game.

The insider also alleges that the Venom game, which was revealed in the security breach, is currently in active development. So, although the leaks showed its release date window in 2025, it is highly unlikely that fans will get to play the game this year. Additionally, the game will reportedly also see Eddie Brock being much closer to Venom than Tom Hardy’s version was in the live-action movies.
