Days after his long-awaited reunion with King Charles, Prince Harry‘s recent interview has reportedly worsened things for him. The Guardian published an exclusive conversation with the Duke of Sussex on Sunday, following his visit to the United Kingdom last week. During their talks, he defended his tell-all memoir “Spare,” claiming it was about “accountability,” not “revenge.” But a fuming palace insider claimed that Harry dug a “deeper” hole with his new interview, which left the royal family livid.

Mere days after his highly anticipated and private reunion with King Charles, The Guardian published an exclusive interview in which he defended the comments he made in his memoir, “Spare.”

Taking into account Harry’s recent remarks, a palace insider claimed that his “mouth is his biggest problem.” Adding to it, they alleged that he “digs the hole deeper” every time he talks, especially after his recent interview with the renowned publication. 

Furthermore, a second insider chimed in that the duke “acts like repeating these stories helps, but it just twists the knife.” Moreover, they asserted that his comments seemingly left the royal family “livid” because “they let him back in,” and “this is how he repays them.”

However, some palace aides believe that Harry might claim he was “misquoted” in the interview. A source later claimed that “excuse doesn’t fly anymore” because his words were loud and clear. They further called it the “sad truth” that his constant talking is “costing him his family.”

The Duke of Sussex told The Guardian that his book was “a series of corrections” to the narrative and “point of view” out there. He thinks the stories required corrections, which his memoir has since provided. He further added that he doesn’t believe he aired his “dirty laundry in public.” 

Instead, Harry said that he sent out a “difficult message” in the best way possible, revealing that his conscience is now clear. Lastly, he claimed that it was never “about revenge,” but “accountability” and that there can’t be “reconciliation before you have truth.”
