Days after his long-awaited reunion with King Charles, Prince Harryâs recent interview has reportedly worsened things for him. The Guardian published an exclusive conversation with the Duke of Sussex on Sunday, following his visit to the United Kingdom last week. During their talks, he defended his tell-all memoir âSpare,â claiming it was about âaccountability,â not ârevenge.â But a fuming palace insider claimed that Harry dug a âdeeperâ hole with his new interview, which left the royal family livid.
Prince Harry has managed to twist the knife further with a new interview, says palace insider
Rob Shuter #ShuterScoop exclusively learned about the royal familyâs reaction to Prince Harryâs latest interview after his U.K. visit. Mere days after his highly anticipated and private reunion with King Charles, The Guardian published an exclusive interview in which he defended the comments he made in his memoir, âSpare.â
Taking into account Harryâs recent remarks, a palace insider claimed that his âmouth is his biggest problem.â Adding to it, they alleged that he âdigs the hole deeperâ every time he talks, especially after his recent interview with the renowned publication.Â
Furthermore, a second insider chimed in that the duke âacts like repeating these stories helps, but it just twists the knife.â Moreover, they asserted that his comments seemingly left the royal family âlividâ because âthey let him back in,â and âthis is how he repays them.â
However, some palace aides believe that Harry might claim he was âmisquotedâ in the interview. A source later claimed that âexcuse doesnât fly anymoreâ because his words were loud and clear. They further called it the âsad truthâ that his constant talking is âcosting him his family.â
The Duke of Sussex told The Guardian that his book was âa series of correctionsâ to the narrative and âpoint of viewâ out there. He thinks the stories required corrections, which his memoir has since provided. He further added that he doesnât believe he aired his âdirty laundry in public.âÂ
Instead, Harry said that he sent out a âdifficult messageâ in the best way possible, revealing that his conscience is now clear. Lastly, he claimed that it was never âabout revenge,â but âaccountabilityâ and that there canât be âreconciliation before you have truth.â
