Sofia Vergara took to Instagram and shared a photo of her eye after skipping the 2025 Emmys. The 53-year-old revealed that she was almost “getting in the car” to head to the awards show venue, but she had to go to the emergency room instead. Vergara shared that she had the “craziest” eye allergy right before stepping out for the event.
The television personality also posted a photo of her face. It gave a closer look at the swollen eye, which was swollen and watery. Vergara was also wearing a full face of makeup with her hair styled in waves. This proved that she was indeed ready to attend the Emmys. The actor continued to share a few clips from the ER.
One video showed Vergara lying on a hospital bed with her eyes closed. She was wearing a black long-sleeved top and denim jeans. In the clip, the person who accompanied Vergara to the ER asked the star if she was “okay.” The “America’s Got Talent” judge turned towards the camera and opened her eyes, showing her discomfort due to the allergy.

She included several laughing emojis in the caption, joking, “Didnt make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER.” Vergara added, “sorry I had to cancel!”
