Sydney Sweeney showed up to the Emmys 2025 in a jaw-dropping strapless neckline red dress. The 28-year-old was one of the presenters at the event. Several days earlier, Sweeney presented her upcoming film Christy at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The movie will be released theatrically later this year. The past few months have seen the actress making headlines for her bold advertisements, particularly her controversial ad campaign with American Eagle.

Sydney Sweeney opts for strapless red dress for Emmys

Sydney Sweeney wore a strapless red dress at the Emmys 2025. The satin attire, designed by Oscar de la Renta, had gathered detailing under her breasts, a bodice that cinched at her waist to mimic an hourglass shape, and a floor-length skirt with long pleats. She paired the dress with matching, long red sashes on her forearms.

The Euphoria actress enhanced her look with 175 carats of Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. It included a 120-carat diamond necklace with a 40-carat marquee drop, 30-carat pear-shaped diamond drop earrings, and 25-carat diamond rings.

Sweeney presented the award for Supporting Actor in a Limited Or Anthology Series or Movie. Owen Cooper won the award for his performance as Jamie Miller in Adolescence. The other nominees were:

  • Javier Bardem – José Menendez – Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story
  • Bill Camp – Raymond Horgan – Presumed Innocent
  • Rob Delaney – Neighbor Guy – Dying for Sex
  • Peter Sarsgaard – Tommy Molto – Presumed Innocent
  • Ashley Walters – Detective Inspector Luke Bascombe – Adolescence

Previously, the announcement of the Anyone But You actress’ appearance at the Emmys 2025 as a presenter drew mixed reactions online. Some expressed dismay, while others had no issue and were happy to see her.

“She shouldn’t even be here to begin with,” a user wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Another added, “I don’t want her jeans all over my award.”

One commented, “You go girl.” “She’s so beautiful,” another shared.

Sydney Sweeney has recently been busy promoting her upcoming film, Christy, appearing for several interviews, where she described the transformative process she underwent for the role. The film, based on the life of notable professional boxer Christy Martin, will hit theaters on November 7, 2025.
