Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce skipped the Emmys 2025 held in Los Angeles, California, seemingly due to their other commitments. The football tight end is busy with his team in Kansas City, Missouri, for the new NFL season. The Kansas City Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles today at Arrowhead Stadium. Subsequently, the “Shake It Off” singer is present at the occasion to support her fiancé.
Swift’s fan page recently posted a video of her secretly sneaking into the stadium. The post was captioned, “Taylor Swift entered tonight’s Chiefs game behind something covering her.” As the short clip shows, a few people are moving a black barrier, and Swift seemingly hides behind it. The 35-year-old hiding from the cameras might have decided to attend the match privately. E! News also confirmed Swift’s attendance at the stadium. Additionally, the singer’s mother, Andrea, and brother, Austin, are there to support Kelce.
These commitments might have led the stars to skip the Emmys. Moreover, Swift isn’t an actor and didn’t receive a nomination, adding another reason for her absence. Previously, Swift and Kelce had also skipped the MTV VMA Awards 2025 despite the former recieving a nomination for Artist of the Year. Following their engagement confirmation, the duo marked their first public appearance at the Cincinnati Bearcats vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers match at Kansas.
Meanwhile, Swift and Kelce have been in the news for their rumored wedding preparations, from the guest list to bridesmaids. According to a PEOPLE source, they wish “to keep it more private” when they get married. The source further added that the wedding “will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle. “They both have a close circle of friends, and they’ll respect their privacy,” they continued.
