Jeremy Allen White Didn’t Attend Emmys 2025 For This Crucial Reason

Jeremy Allen White, the breakout star of FX’s The Bear, skipped the Emmy Awards 2025 despite getting another nomination. While fans expected him to walk the red carpet in Los Angeles, the actor was instead busy celebrating something more personal.

Why Jeremy Allen White did not attend the Emmys in 2025

Jeremy Allen White missed Sunday night’s Emmys to attend his best friend’s wedding.

The absence comes during what has been a career-defining run for the actor, who plays Carmy Berzatto, a troubled but gifted chef in The Bear. His no-show didn’t go unnoticed, especially since he was up for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. (via E!News)

This year’s nominees included Martin Short for Only Murders in the Building, Jason Segel for Shrinking, Seth Rogen for The Studio, and Adam Brody for Nobody Wants This. Rogen ultimately took home the trophy, while White still stood out for his back-to-back Emmy wins in 2023 and 2024.

White’s performance on The Bear has become one of television’s most celebrated in recent years. The FX series, which scored 13 nominations this year, shocked fans with its Season 4 when Carmy decided to step away from the kitchen and named Sydney (Edebiri) as his successor. FX has already renewed the series for a fifth season, cementing its place as one of the most critically acclaimed comedies of the decade. With multiple Emmy wins under its belt, the show continues to be one to look out for.

His co-stars also received recognition this year, with Ayo Edebiri nominated for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, Ebon Moss-Bachrach for Outstanding Supporting Actor, and Jon Bernthal in the Outstanding Guest Actor category. Molly Gordon, who plays Carmy’s on-screen love interest and has been linked to White off-screen, attended the event solo.

Now, Jeremy Allen White is preparing to step into the role of Bruce Springsteen in Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, set to release on October 24. The film explores the making of Springsteen’s iconic Nebraska album, and anticipation for White’s performance is already high.
