Yu Menglong dies after reportedly falling off a building
On September 11, 2025, the 37-year-old Chinese actor Yu Menglong died after falling from a building. He was best known for his roles in popular dramas like The Eternal Love, The Legend of White Snake, All Out of Love, and Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.
The information about his death was first announced by a photographer on Weibo. But after the post went viral, the user deleted it. Later, the photographer followed up with another post that shared more details about his death.
The actor reportedly passed away after falling from a building in the Chaoyang district, Beijing. Following the various rumours and fan concerns, Yu Menglong’s agency issued a statement. The statement read, “With unbearable sorrow, we announce that our beloved Menglong fell to his death on September 11. Police have ruled out any criminality. We hope he rests in peace and his loved ones remain strong.”
After the actor’s management confirmed the death, fans and co-stars took to social media to offer their tributes.
His co-star, Dilraba Dilmurat, wrote, “In my memory, you’ve always been the gentle and sincere Bai Zhen. Later, when we met again on the show, you were still the kind and gentle Yu Menglong. Rest in peace, I’ll always miss you…”
Another co-star, Yang Mi, wrote, “Fourth Brother, I hope you are well in the other world.”
While it is confirmed that Yu Menglong died by falling from a building, the reason behind this tragic incident is still under investigation.
