Stonestreet recently took to Instagram to update fans that he has tied the knot with Lindsay Schweitzer in an intimate ceremony.
He shared a series of pictures from their special day, accompanied by a brief caption that read, “It’s my birthday and guess what I got.” In the images, Stonestreet wore a navy blue blazer over a white shirt, accessorized with black spectacles and a flower brooch. Schweitzer, on the other hand, looked stunning in a white satin gown, which she paired with white heels and a statement necklace. She opted for nude makeup and wore her wavy hair down.
Along with fans, Modern Family actors also took to his comment section to share their best wishes to Schweitzer and Stonestreet. Jesse Teyler, who played Cameron’s partner, Mitch, in the show, commented, “Of all second marriages, this one is my favorite! I love you both! I’m so happy for you!!!!” Elizabeth Banks, who played Sal for 7 episodes, also wrote, “Congrats,” followed by a cheers emoji.
Stonestreet and Schweitzer first crossed paths at a charity event in 2016. There, they clicked and gradually developed a bond. In 2021, they got engaged. Stonestreet shared images from their proposal on Instagram, with a caption, “She said, ‘She’d have her people call my people.”
At the time, Stonestreet shared details with PEOPLE on his decision to propose to his girlfriend. He said, “We’ve been together for a long time and I just knew I wasn’t going to find a better partner in life than Lindsay. So it just made the most sense. And I’d taken my sweet old time. Everybody else — let me put it this way — that knows Lindsay was like, ‘What are you waiting for?’ So, it was time.”
