Sources told TMZ that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift enjoyed a low-key date night at the soft launch of the former’s restaurant, 1587 Prime Steakhouse, in Kansas City. They arrived at their destination around 6:15 p.m. on Monday, September 8.
The couple held hands as they took the staircase on the way to the restaurant. Then, they greeted friends and family members before heading inside. They opted for a semi-private spot to get seated, opting for a corner booth to keep it low-key.
The outlet also shared details of the outfits they wore for their dinner date. According to TMZ, Swift wore a mid-length denim dress, pairing it with a pair of wedges. Kelce, on the other hand, went for a casual look, donning a green shirt and cap.
This outing comes soon after Travis Kelce’s slapping incident, and many believe the Los Angeles Chargers’ Teair Tart threw shade at Swift in a post celebrating his team’s win. For those unfamiliar, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Tart got into a physical altercation during their football game at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo, Brazil.
The duo exchanged small shoves, with Kelce trying to block for his teammate, Kareem Hunt. Soon after, Tart slapped the 35-year-old in the front of his helmet. He was penalized for unnecessary roughness. The game was ultimately won by the Los Angeles Chargers.
Celebrating the victory, Tart took to Instagram to share several special moments from the game. The caption had many believing he took a subtle dig at the newly-engaged couple. It read, “I’m too swift with it even in Brazil.”
