Mark Zuckerberg Is Suing Mark Zuckerberg

In what can only be considered a bizarre development, a lawyer named Mark Zuckerberg is suing Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg in an unusual lawsuit. The Indianapolis-based attorney is the one filing the case against the CEO and chairman of Meta. And it is all because they have the same name. Here’s all you need to know about the lawsuit.

How Mark Zuckerberg is suing Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg, the lawyer, is suing Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and chairman of Meta, because Facebook keeps deleting his account for “impersonating a celebrity.” The former has faced this issue for quite a while, simply for being the namesake of the businessman.

He has faced numerous roadblocks due to sharing the moniker with someone so famous. From being sued by the state of Washington to receiving death threats, the attorney has faced a lot due to their name being the same. He has also faced trouble with making reservations and received unknown calls meant for the programmer.

He claimed that his personal Facebook profile has been disabled five times. In addition, his business page has been shut down four times. These issues have allegedly cost him around $11,000 in ad funds. He is suing the tech giant for negligence and breach of contract.

The lawyer told New York Post, “Normally you would say, well, it’s just Facebook and it’s not a big deal.” He continued, “But this time it’s affecting my bottom line because I was paying for advertising for my business to try and get clients.”

“I think it’s offensive that a company that is supposed to be so tech savvy in the world can’t figure out how to flag my accounts and keep this from happening,” he added. “It’s like they’re almost doing it on purpose, but I’m sure they’re not, but it feels like it.” The attorney further explained, “It’s the fact that they’re affecting my business now, you know, my clients can’t find me.”

A Meta spokesperson told The Independent that bankruptcy lawyer Mark Zuckerberg’s profile has been reinstated.
