The former Astronomer employee, who was notoriously spotted by the Coldplay jumbotron, has recently filed for divorce from her husband. The businessman and CEO of Privateer Rum, Andrew Cabot, has now broken his silence on the matter.

A spokeswoman for Andrew Cabot told People on Monday, September 8, that the couple “privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert,” referring to the infamous evening when Kristin Cabot’s affair with former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron came to light.

“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” the spokesperson further added. “Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued,” she revealed. The statement ended with, “No further public comment will be made.”

As per reported court documents, Kristin Cabot had filed for divorce from Andrew on August 13 in New Hampshire. The next hearing in the case is scheduled on November 26. (via NBC News)

News outlets have reached out to Kristin Cabot’s spokesperson for comment. However, they have yet to make any public statements.

As per reports, Andrew Cabot is a father to two children from a previous marriage. He does not have any kids with Kristin Cabot. The family was thrown into the spotlight after the infamous moment at the Coldplay concert in July, when the jumbotron captured Kristin Cabot in the arms of her boss, Andy Byron.

The viral incident sparked a global controversy with internet users slamming the pair for their extramarital affair as co-workers. Byron was the CEO of Astronomer, while Cabot worked as the head of HR. The duo had resigned from the company after the incident caught attention.
