The video begins with Carpenter waking up in the woods after a car crash beside her boyfriend, lifeless in the driver’s seat. Wearing a pale blue skirt suit and a wide-brimmed hat, she makes her way to a deserted house. There, she encounters Colman Domingo, dressed in a cropped pinstripe suit and bright red lipstick.
As the scenes progress, Carpenter’s wardrobe shifts into a lingerie ensemble, paired with stockings and suspenders. At one point, she struts through the house in heels. In another sequence, she performs on a pole in a cornfield setting, before moving into a choreographed dance routine with Domingo.
