Jillian Michaels, who once served as a fitness coach on the NBC reality show, The Biggest Loser, is upset about her portrayal in Netflix’s latest documentary, Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser. She plans on taking legal actions against the show producers, including her former co-trainer, Bob Harper.

Jillian Michaels calls Netflix’s Biggest Loser documentary ‘an egregious lie’

In NBC’s The Biggest Loser, various individuals participated in a contest to transform their lives by losing weight and becoming healthy. Jillian Michaels occasionally coached the Red Team between 2004 and 2011.

According to Netflix’s new documentary, Fit for TV: The Reality of the Biggest Loser, Michaels handed out caffeine pills to Rachel Fredrickson, a former contestant, and pushed her to extremes to lose weight.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Michaels responded to the documentary, describing it as “an egregious lie.” She said, “In the documentary, they try to make it look like she was my contestant and I gave her caffeine pills. I was never actually fortunate enough to have trained Rachel Fredrickson one time, let alone give her a caffeine pill.”

Another former contestant even claimed that Michaels told him he “made her a millionaire,” which Michaels, who did not take part in the docmentary, has vehemently denied. The fitness trainer shared, “So he’s saying this happened, and then I jumped into his arms and said, ‘You’re gonna make me a millionaire.’”

Michaels added, “I’m wearing a microphone. He’s wearing a microphone. You can actually watch the moment, and the hug is like a second. There’s no possible way that exchange could have [happened].”

Michaels continued to talk about whether she’s planning to take legal action against the show makers. “To be totally honest with you, at the moment I’m choosing my battles because there are a lot to fight. I will absolutely take on one of these,” she shared. “The question is, you can’t fight 10 Goliaths at the same time. So, I have to determine what I want my legacy to be, and that is going to be a result of which fight I pick.”

In addition, Michaels reportedly in talks with The Biggest Loser’s executive producers to come up with a documentary wherein the reality TV star can share her side of the story.
