On August 19, the Hawaii Police Department put out an autopsy report in which they named four “pathological diagnoses” among the things they found while investigating Bell’s death. These were acute respiratory failure, sepsis, hypertensive/atherosclerotic heart disease, and morbid obesity. (via People)

Each of these diagnoses is an extremely serious condition. As per Healthline, acute respiratory failure can potentially be “life-threatening and requires immediate medical care.” Its symptoms include dizziness, confusion, drowsiness, shortness of breath, and a bluish discoloration of the lips, skin, or extremities.

Meanwhile, the Mayo Clinic describes atherosclerosis as a “buildup of fats, cholesterol, and other substances in and on the artery walls.” This buildup, known as plaque, narrows down the arteries, causing serious health issues.

The above-mentioned autopsy was conducted on June 19 and completed on July 10. The exam took place at Kona Community Hospital in Kealakekua, Hawaii.

The report further disclosed that Bell was suffering from a skin condition called stasis dermatitis and edema. There were also signs of medical intervention efforts, indicating that resuscitation attempts were made.

The toxicology report that came with the autopsy findings noted that the examiners didn’t find any trace of drugs or alcohol in Bell’s system above reporting limits. According to the report, Bell stated that he was having issues with his breathing before his passing.

At the time of this article’s composition, authorities haven’t mentioned Bell’s cause of death, though People reports that the local police told the outlet that the investigation was complete.

A spokesperson for the Hawaii Police Department earlier denied the involvement of any foul play in Bell’s death while speaking to the publication.
