Austin Butler Turns Into a Protector for Zoe Kravitz During Bee Attack

Austin Butler shielded his co-star Zoe Kravitz from a bee that startled her at the U.K. premiere of their upcoming movie, Caught Stealing, on Tuesday. The cameras caught this incident. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Butler has had an interaction with a bee on the red carpet.

Austin Butler protected his co-star Zoe Kravitz when a rogue bee entered the red carpet at the premiere of Caught Stealing in the U.K. Kravitz and Butler both attempted to wave the bee away, but it was seemingly the latter’s attempt that was successful. Butler bravely stared down at the flying menace before it buzzed away without stinging anyone.

He tried to shield Kravitz and keep the bee away from her. The way Butler intervened beside a shocked Kravitz made it look like he was not afraid of a bee sting at all.

In what seems to be a huge improbability, Butler also faced a bee during another red carpet appearance. The Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood star tried to save a terrified Emma Stone from a bee sting earlier during the Cannes Film Festival premiere of their movie Eddington. Back then, Butler tried hard to shoo the bee away and even blew at it. Stone memorably ducked down in an attempt to get away from the bee. The Elvis actor’s efforts to help his co-stars fend off the bees have also been appreciated by his fans.

Butler and Kravitz will appear together in Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, which premieres on August 29, 2025. It follows a former baseball player as he gets sucked into the criminal underworld of New York. The film additionally stars Regina King, Matt Smith, Liev Schreiber, Vincent D’Onofrio, Griffin Dunne, Bad Bunny, and Carol Kane.
