Colman Domingo revealed how he almost became a part of a cult in Mexico City.
PEOPLE recently shared the first look of Domingo’s interview with host Josh Scherer on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals. During the discussion, the host jokingly asked the Oscar-nominated actor, “You haven’t joined a cult yet now that you moved to Malibu?” Domingo had an interesting answer to this question as he said, “I almost joined a cult in Mexico City, but that’s another story.”
The 55-year-old further added, “I accidentally almost joined the call in Mexico City a couple of months ago. It was just a group of nice people, and then I was like, ‘Wait a minute, this is weird.” He also went “like, ‘What’s up with you guys?” Meanwhile, Scherer shared his experience on how he “was about to talk to a cult the other day, and then they tried to get me to join.” However, the chef said no, and they were just like, ‘No, I think you really should. And then I was like, ‘Don’t mess with cults, man. Don’t be the person that talks to too many people. And so, I skateboarded away,” he continued.
The Fear the Walking Dead actor echoed the host’s feelings, adding, “There’s always something a little off, and you just have to listen.” He concluded, “This is my first encounter. But as I did research and found out more about them, I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s a cult.” Scherer had a hilarious response, adding, “I still feel like we should join, but after we get dessert and mull it over.”
