Travis Kelce Was Speechless When Taylor Swift Asked Him This Question

Taylor Swift recently revealed a question about football that left Travis Kelce momentarily speechless. During their first date, she asked him about facing off against his brother Jason Kelce on the field. The story, shared on the New Heights podcast, offers fans a new look into their relationship.

What question did Taylor Swift ask Travis Kelce?

Early in her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift’s limited knowledge of football led her to ask an “insane question.” During the New Heights podcast, the pop star said, “On our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and he looked across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing five feet away from him.”

In reality, both brothers play offensive positions, so they would never appear on the field against one another. Looking back, Swift said that Kelce did not even react to her question. Laughing, the pop star said, “He didn’t even look at me. I now know what an insane question that was… I thought everyone was out there at the same time.” She also admitted that she also had no grasp of concepts like a first down or the responsibilities of a tight end at the time.

However, since then, Swift has developed a strong interest in the sport. She said, “I fell in love with it, I became obsessed with it.” To this, Kelce replied, “I am forever thankful for you diving into the football world wholeheartedly.”

The couple, who began dating in 2023 and went public in October of that year in New York City, has become a fan-favorite. Swift frequently attends Kelce’s games, while the NFL player has been present at her Eras Tour concerts.

The full episode of the New Heights podcast featuring Swift was released on Wednesday, August 13, at 7 p.m. ET. It is available to watch on YouTube and to listen to on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Audible, and Wondery.
