Pete Davidson Reacts to ‘Big D— Energy’ Attention From Public

Pete Davidson may have dated a plethora of high-profile celebrities, but the jestful banter around the comedian having a ‘big d— energy’ seems to have made his professional life difficult. The King of Staten Island star recently opened up about the prevalent discussions about his sexual prowess and how they have influenced his career, as well as his personal well-being.

Pete Davidson talks about ‘Big D— Energy’ claims

During his recent appearance on The Breakfast Club podcast, Pete Davidson noted that the extensive chatter around his romantic life during his time at Saturday Night Live had an adverse impact on his reputation as an artist.

Talking about the “big d— energy” claims, Davidson remarked that despite bringing virality and “a lot of pop culture” to SNL, “no one talked about any work I was doing. They were just like, ‘Oh, that’s the f— stick.’ And that hurt so much.”

He further added, “I don’t want to victimize myself in any way because I’m cool, but the sexualization of me — if that was a girl, people would be like, there would be a march for it… Seriously. You’re just talking about my d— all day.”

Shedding light on how the “big d— energy” trend about him came into existence, Davidson said, “Uh it was I think it was like the New York Times or something when I started dating someone that I guess they considered out of my league, which I think everyone is out of my league, but you know, uh they were like, ‘This guy must have big d— energy.’ And then someone confirmed it.”

Notably, it was Grande who reportedly seems to have started the media frenzy around Davidson’s penis, back when the two were in a romantic relationship with one another. In 2018, while replying to a fan who wanted to know how long the “Pete Davidson” track in her Sweetener album was, Grande playfully wrote, “Like 10 inches? …oh f—…i mean…like a lil over a minute.”

While it may have been fun and games for the general public, Davidson noted that the “big d— energy” jokes deeply affected his personal life. “It just got to a point where I was… I got really tired of my whole career just being like my personal life. And living through that is it’s sort of traumatic,” the artist said.
