After her recent jeans ad for American Eagle turned heads all across the globe, Sydney Sweeney could embark on yet another multi-million dollar advertisement campaign, this time with the renowned beer company, Bud Light. Recent reports have suggested that the Anheuser-Busch subsidiary, which is currently recovering from a disastrous endorsement drive, is looking to employ Sweeney to boost its sales as well as restore its reputation as one of the leading beer brands in the country.
Bud Light reportedly eyeing Sydney Sweeney for next campaign
According to a recent update, Bud Light is supposedly considering partnering with the Euphoria star, after her controversial yet effective jeans ads for American Eagle ended up skyrocketing the fashion giant’s revenue.
The Daily Mail report also mentioned that Sydney Sweeney could secure a massive compensation of $10 million from the beer company if she ends up putting pen to paper on a potential full-scale advertisement campaign.
The move comes in the wake of Bud Light’s ill-fated collaboration with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, which resulted in the organization losing a significant amount of business. The said ads featured Mulvaney dressed as Holly Golightly from the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, with a celebration of womanhood serving as the underlying message of the promotions.
The aftermath of this campaign saw Bud Light experience a $1.4 billion loss in US sales, as well as a 15.3 percent drop in overall revenue. The company subsequently joined forces with celebrities like Peyton Manning, Emmitt Smith, and Post Malone in a bid to control the company’s falling stock, but to no avail.
As such, Bud Light is now eyeing to recruit Sydney Sweeney as its latest brand ambassador, with hopes of replicating the success of her American Eagle jeans ads. Christopher Chatham, a veteran legal power broker of the entertainment industry, also backed the move.
Chatham stated, “Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle campaign delivered undeniable commercial impact – denim sales surged and the brand’s stock climbed. That kind of performance makes her a compelling candidate for Bud Light, especially as the brand considers options in responding to past criticism.”
Nevertheless, at the time of writing, it remains unknown if Bud Light has officially approached Sydney Sweeney with an employment offer.
