Kylie Jenner celebrated her 28th birthday surrounded by family and friends, but notably absent was boyfriend Timothée Chalamet. Fans theorized his filming obligations could explain the no-show on Jenner’s special day and waited for a potential birthday wish or a tribute from the actor.
As expected, Chalamet broke his short-term Instagram hiatus on Jenner’s special day. However, his Instagram story further confused fans, sparking breakup rumors. Chalamet posted a shot of iconic boxer Muhammad Ali emblazoned with “Dream Big” in striking red text.
The celebrity couple’s followers tried to decode the message, with one claiming on X (formerly Twitter), the IG story could be in reference to Lucid Motors’ new ad that features clips of Muhammad Ali. For the unversed, the Oscar-nominated actor became the brand’s first-ever Global Brand Ambassador in July.
Chalamet and Jenner started dating in 2023 and were last spotted on May 27 at a Knicks versus Indiana Pacers game in the Eastern Conference Finals. Before that, the pair made their much-adored red carpet debut at the 70th David Di Donatello Awards, twinning in black attire.
Sources close to the couple reportedly said both Jenner and Chalamet are “very serious” about each other. An insider told PEOPLE, “With the awards season and premieres, earlier this year was intense for their relationship.”
They further noted, “But they are making it work. Kylie is truly his biggest fan. She would clear her schedule to attend awards and premieres with him. She couldn’t be more supportive of his career.” The beauty influencer’s family is also supportive of the relationship. “Her family loves that she’s dating him. They have seen such positive changes in Kylie. She’s the happiest.”
Additionally, reports have previously also claimed that the Little Women actor might propose to Jenner. As per The Sun, Chalamet has spent a whopping $300,000 on a ring that has 150 diamonds and was designed in Paris.
