Jake Paul Will Sue Anyone Who Claims His Fights Are ‘Staged’

Jake Paul has been in the headlines due to his conflict with Piers Morgan regarding his fights. The broadcaster and the boxer had gotten into a heated back-and-forth during an interview in June. Additionally, Morgan had criticised Paul in a since-deleted post, calling his battles “boring staged bulls—.” Now, Jake Paul has announced that he will sue anyone who calls his fights fake.

Piers Morgan had severely criticized Jake Paul’s fights on his since-deleted post on X.

He ended up calling the boxer’s fights “boring staged bulls—” and how he intentionally chooses to battle “older fighters way past their prime.” Moreover, he called Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr’s fight an “unwatchable farce.”

While he took down the post, the English commentator decided to clarify his statements. The 60-year-old stated that he meant that Paul’s “fights have been predominantly against older, past-their-prime opponents.” He added that these fights might be “lucrative” and provide “entertainment value,” but it doesn’t reveal how he will perform against current boxers, which isn’t “a good look for the sport.” Morgan also shared he wasn’t suggesting “that the outcome was predetermined and certainly didn’t mean to suggest anything illegal.”

Amid this, Jake Paul took to his Instagram, warning legal action against people who question the legitimacy of his fights. He wrote, “If anyone says my fights are staged you will be sued and secondly you’re a jealous ass peasant who cannot even believe how good I am at this sport and you should go to church to fix your insecurities.” Paul continued, “I pray for you because I have so much love [for] humanity and that includes the people who are against me – genuinely I pray for you and I want the world to be in a better place. You people are filled with a disease and I’m here to help you cure it.” (via Complex)

Paul and Morgan’s issues began during an interview in June. Morgan doubted the YouTuber’s capability to last against Mike Tyson in his prime. However, Paul clapped back, stating “anything is possible” before calling Morgan a “fat a–.”” He added, “You don’t think I can beat Mike Tyson? I don’t think you go to the gym!”
