Dave Bautista is reportedly in the final talks to star in the upcoming Highlander movie as the villain, starring opposite Henry Cavill. The actor will join Russell Crowe in the movie from Amazon MGM’s United Artists banner. Though still in its very early stages, there is ample excitement surrounding the project.

Dave Bautista to star with Henry Cavill in Highlander movie
As per the latest reports, the Guardians of the Galaxy star is in final negotiations to play the infamous villain in the Highlander remake.
Henry Cavill, Marisa Abela, and Russell Crowe are already a part of the project. The remake will be directed by Chad Stahelski, the acclaimed director behind the John Wick movies.
Bautista is tipped to play the role of immortal barbarian, The Kurgen. Clancy Brown played this role in the original movie. Meanwhile, Cavill will play Connor MacLeod, a Medieval Scottish Highlander, a role originally played by Christopher Lambert. Moreover, Crowe will play the role of Ramirez, a swordsman originally played by Sean Connery, who teaches MacLeod about his immortality and other immortals.
