Renowned content creator Duke Dennis, a member of the streaming group AMP, was arrested on Saturday in San Antonio, Texas. Videos of the incident quickly went viral, showing Dennis handcuffed and seated on the floor of a shopping mall while surrounded by police officers.

According to reports, Duke Dennis was taken into custody after allegedly playing a game of hide-and-seek inside the mall with fellow AMP collaborator Kai Cenat. In the circulating footage, Cenat can be seen watching from an upper level and recording the arrest on his phone.
Authorities from the San Antonio Police Department have charged Duke Dennis with criminal trespassing and evading arrest. These charges fall under Texas state law. Criminal trespass, as defined by Section 30.05 of the Texas Penal Code, involves entering or remaining on property without the owner’s consent. This law applies to various premises, including buildings, residential areas, vehicles, and agricultural land.
Evading arrest, under Section 38.04 of the same code, applies when a person intentionally flees from law enforcement attempting to lawfully detain or arrest them after committing an offense. Depending on circumstances such as prior convictions or whether a vehicle was involved, this offense can range from a misdemeanor to a felony.
At this time, it is unclear whether the charges directly relate to an organized AMP production or were simply the result of an off-the-cuff livestream stunt gone wrong.
