It looks like She’s All That star Rachael Leigh Cook and Superman Returns actor Brandon Routh are dating. The two were seen holding hands and smiling as they left a movie theater in Los Angeles on July 25 – seemingly confirming a budding romance.

Rachael Leigh Cook and Brandon Routh were spotted together in LA recently, adding to speculation about a possible romance.
Cook finalized her divorce from The Vampire Diaries actor Daniel Gillies in 2021, after nearly 15 years of marriage. The former couple shares two children, Charlotte and Theodore. She first revealed she was seeing someone new back in September 2020, just over a year after announcing the separation.
In an October 2022 interview with People, Cook shared her thoughts on love post-divorce: “I am the most incorrigible full-tilt romantic you have ever met in your whole life, to the point that it’s probably unreasonable.” She added, “[I would] be slightly more cautious in making that decision [of getting married again] because I have kids involved.” However, she further stated, “[I] wouldn’t say no.”
Meanwhile, Routh recently ended his own long-term marriage with his ex-wife, Dexter star Courtney Ford. The former couple, who share a 12-year-old son named Leo, released a joint Instagram statement in January announcing their decision to part ways after 21 years together.
“After 21 years together, and 17 years of marriage, we have decided to begin a new journey, and enter this next chapter of life as friends and co-parents,” they wrote. “Our son is, and will always be, our highest priority.” For now, neither Rachael Leigh Cook nor Brandon Routh has publicly confirmed they are dating each other.
It seems off-screen, Routh continues to stay engaged with the superhero world. Though his 2006 film Superman Returns received mixed reviews, the actor recently cheered on James Gunn’s new Superman movie, starring David Corenswet.
“Go see #Superman in theaters now!” Routh posted on Instagram earlier this month. Moreover, in an interview promoting his new film Ick, Routh confirmed he’s now seen the reboot. He said, “It was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it…David is fantastic. I cried no less than three times.” (via Variety)
