Selena Gomez Reveals What She Wants as Wedding Day Dessert

Selena Gomez recently revealed her unconventional plans for her wedding day, sharing that she doesn’t want a traditional giant wedding cake. Instead, the singer has a different dessert in mind to serve guests at her much-anticipated nuptial celebrations.

Selena Gomez wants Nana’s recipe as dessert for wedding day

Pop star Selena Gomez revealed in a TikTok video that she might skip the traditional “big cake” for her upcoming wedding. The “Ice Cream” singer shared her preference for a different dessert that holds sentimental value from her childhood.

She noted, “Whenever that day comes, I do know I don’t want a big cake,” adding, “I think I’d want a mini one for just us that we can freeze.” Speaking of her favorite dessert, Gomez stated, “My preferred dessert would be biscuits and gravy. My Nana’s biscuits and gravy — that sounds like dessert to me.”

Gomez hasn’t shared other details about her wedding. However, she appears to be certain about incorporating meaningful elements from her past into the celebrations.

The singer is notorious for quirky dessert choices, and she has talked about quite a few of them in the past. While promoting her collaborative album with fiancé Benny Blanco, she disclosed that one of her favorite desserts from childhood is pickle and ice.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Gomez had both Blanco and Fallon sample the unconventional ice flavor. While Blanco praised it repeatedly, calling it “so good,” Fallon appeared less enthusiastic about the unusual treat.

Gomez and Blanco have been engaged for almost a year. The “People You Know” songstress announced the news of Blanco’s proposal in a December 2024 Instagram post. She shared a carousel flaunting the ring with the caption, “forever begins now.”

Blanco was equally excited to marry the pop legend, and commented under the post, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.” Later, Gomez and Blanco also released their first collaborative album, I Said I Love You First, to celebrate their happily ever after.
