Jamie Lee Curtis Says Lindsay Lohan Should Be in This Biopic

Jamie Lee Curtis expressed her desire to see Lindsay Lohan in an Ann-Margret biopic in a recent interview. The two actors, who previously worked together in 2003’s Freaky Friday, reunited for its sequel, Freakier Friday. It premiered at the El Capitan Theatre on July 22, 2025, and is scheduled to be released theatrically in the United States on August 8, 2025.

Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan recently appeared for an interview to promote Freakier Friday. In it, they discussed a wide range of topics, such as the character and plot dynamics explored in the film. During the discussion, Curtis endorsed Lohan for the role of Swedish-American actress Ann-Margaret in a biopic.

“I’m going to out you now to the world — I want her to do the Ann-Margret story,” Curtis told Lohan on Good Morning America. The Halloween actress shared that she sends Lohan videos of Ann-Margret from “back in the day” on Instagram. Meanwhile, the Mean Girls icon revealed that she used to see Ann-Margret’s movies with her grandmother.

Ann-Margret herself has offered her seal of approval for Lohan essaying her in a biopic. Speaking to IndieWire, the Bye Bye Birdie actress expressed admiration for the Irish Wish star and her acting.

“I know that she wants to do that,” she said, adding, “It just depends on what the dialogue is like.” The 84-year-old continued, “What can I say? I adore her. I think she’s full of talent, and I just would like to see what they can come up with.” However, Ann-Margret wasn’t sure what period of her life she wanted the biopic to explore.

Reportedly, an Ann-Margret biopic with Lohan attached to the project is in development. Last year, on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lohan revealed that the story was being worked on.

Moreover, in a separate interview with Bustle, which also happened last year, Lohan shared that they were searching for a writer for the story. She also expressed her admiration for Ann-Margret, saying she wants “to do her justice and help tell a great story for her.”
