Why Fans Think Blake Lively Was ‘Deliberately’ Cut from Selena Gomez Party

Selena Gomez’s birthday party is no small affair, and it seems that this year’s festivities have also kick-started a rumor that claims Blake Lively was deliberately cut out from the party. This was allegedly after things between her and Taylor Swift deteriorated during the It Ends With Us legal battle. Now, fans wonder if Swift and Lively’s feud is indeed the reason behind the latter being cut off from the party.

So, was Lively indeed not a part of Gomez’s recent celebrations due to her fallout with the pop icon? Here’s everything to know.

Here’s why fans think Blake Lively was cut from Selena Gomez party

The “Calm Down” singer had a huge party for her 33rd birthday, but the actress was not a part of the celebrations.

According to Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, this move was not an oversight. Rather, it was deliberate, and the root cause behind this was Blake Lively’s fallout with Taylor Swift. The problems between the two go back to the Another Simple Favor star’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, filed a $400 million countersuit against the It Ends With Us director. At that time, the “Blank Space” singer was allegedly one of Lively’s celebrity friends whom she tried to use as leverage in the lawsuit. So, without Swift’s involvement in Baldoni’s case in any way, she still got embroiled in the legal battle unwillingly.

Hence, it all aligns with the timing of Selena Gomez’s party. This has made fans think that Blake Lively and Swift’s fallout may indeed be at the center of the former being cut off from the latter’s inner circle.

However, these are still speculations, as none of the parties involved has commented on this. Even if they were to address the same, it is unlikely that this reason would be stated in public.
