Monday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert featured appearances from Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Jon Stewart, and John Oliver. The taping took place earlier in the day, just days after CBS announced it would cancel the show following the 2025–26 season.
Sources confirmed that all four late-night hosts filmed brief cameos in support of Colbert. Fallon and Meyers, hosts of NBC’s Tonight Show and Late Night, both shared public messages backing Colbert.
Adam Sandler, Anderson Cooper, Weird Al Yankovic, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Robert Smigel, and Andy Cohen also appeared in the episode. Miranda and Weird Al performed a Coldplay song as part of a gag, but Colbert interrupted it when he received a fake cancellation letter. The letter claimed the performance caused a $40–$50 million network loss.
The letter read: “This is purely a financial decision,” and was signed by “the Paramount family of global entertainment properties and A.I. weapons systems” (via Deadline).
