Connie Francis cause of death explained

Connie Francis, the iconic American pop singer, has reportedly passed away at the age of 87. The news of her death was confirmed by her longtime friend, Ron Roberts. Roberts serves as president of her label, Concetta Records. Roberts made the announcement in a Facebook post shared early on Thursday, July 17. It was later also posted to Francis’ official Facebook page.

“It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I inform you of the passing of my dear friend Connie Francis last night,” Roberts wrote in the statement.

The update comes two weeks after it was revealed that Francis had been hospitalized with “extreme pain.” On July 2, she told fans via Facebook that she was “back in hospital.” She claimed that she was undergoing various medical tests to identify the source of the pain. Two days later, on the Fourth of July, Francis gave a positive update. The singer wrote that she was “feeling much better after a good night.”

Born Concetta Franconero in Newark, New Jersey, in 1937, Francis began performing at the age of four. She did so following the encouragement of her father. Her early talents led to television appearances, and she became a regular on NBC’s Startime Kids. She later adopted the stage name Connie Francis, under which she gained international recognition.

In recent months, Francis found herself in the spotlight due to her 1962 track “Pretty Little Baby” going viral on TikTok. Expressing her gratitude in a social media post, Francis wrote, “Thank you Ron for posting this link. My thanks to TikTok and its members for the wonderful, and oh so unexpected, reception given to my 1961 recording ‘Pretty Little Baby.’”
