Blake Lively Picks Location for Justin Baldoni Deposition Case

The latest development in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni‘s legal battle saw the judge side with Lively in a key deposition decision. According to court filings, the judge’s ruling now allows the actress to be deposed at her attorney’s office instead of the location proposed by Baldoni’s legal team.

Blake Lively gets to make a choice for Justin Baldoni deposition case

Blake Lively just secured a strategic victory in her legal battle against Justin Baldoni after the judge’s ruling.

The Another Simple Favor star secured the right to be deposed at her lawyer’s office. This was despite objections from Baldoni’s legal team, per Page Six. They argued the actress was using her “celebrity status” to sway proceedings. However, the judge disagreed and granted her request, citing safety and privacy concerns. The ruling requires Baldoni’s attorneys to submit a full list of attendees by Tuesday at noon.

The conflict began when Lively’s team filed a motion to change the venue of the deposition. They cited concerns over paparazzi presence and potential media ambush if the event were to take place at Baldoni’s legal office. They insisted that her attorney’s office would provide a more secure, neutral setting.

Justin Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, previously mocked the situation by suggesting the deposition be held at Madison Square Garden. He even proposed selling tickets or streaming it and donating proceeds to domestic abuse victims.

Baldoni’s camp pushed back, claiming that Lively’s request would limit their ability to have private legal discussions nearby. They also accused her of attempting to control the narrative, much like she allegedly did on set. Despite their argument that both legal offices are just a mile apart, the judge still sided with Lively. This gives her an edge moving forward.

The ruling adds a new layer to this already tense legal confrontation, as Blake Lively prepares to take the stand in the high-profile lawsuit.

The trial is set for March 2026.
