Ryan Reynolds‘ soccer team, Wrexham A.F.C., has found a new rival: rapper and music mogul, Snoop Dogg. The former recently unveiled a new kit for his soccer team, prompting the football club’s rivals, Swansea City A.F.C., to enlist the latter to show off their kit.

Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram to promote Wrexham A.F.C.’s new home kit launch. He shared a series of pictures, showing himself wearing the new kit and posing alongside a dog. The Deadpool actor shared that the new kit was available for purchase at Wrexham’s online store and provided a link in his stories. However, he emphasized that the dog was not available for sale.
“Been waiting a year for this kit to make its debut — and it did not disappoint,” he captioned the post. “Available NOW in the @wrexham_afc online store. Link in stories. Dog not included.”
Subsequently, Wrexham A.F.C.’s rivals, Swansea City A.F.C., unveiled their new home kit. They shared the update on X (formerly Twitter) and took a lighthearted jab at Reynolds’ post, writing, “Dogg included @snoopdogg.”
“Nuthin’ But A Wales Thang, the Jacks are ready,” they added. “We’re the Pride of Wales.”
Snoop Dogg reshared the post shortly after, writing, “Hereeeeee we go @SwansOfficial.” The rapper later shared a video promoting Swansea City’s new jerseys. In the video, he greeted viewers, saying, “Hail to Wales and to Swansea City. It’s your boy, big Snoop Dogg.” He continued, “Coming to a hood near you. Oh yeah, these are the new jerseys.”
On the official Wrexham A.F.C website, the home player kit shirts come in three different types, priced distinctly. Moreover, one of the kits is part of a box set:

- Wrexham AFC Infant 25/26 Home Shirt (Box Set) – £45.00
Meanwhile, the Wrexham A.F.C. Away kit, a yellow jersey with green stripes, comes in two types, again priced differently:

As for Snoop Dogg and Swansea City’s collaboration, the latter expressed appreciation for fans’ enthusiasm in seeing the rapper wearing their jersey. However, they noted that they weren’t “in a position to share specifics” of the collaboration, but promised to “provide more details soon” (via BBC).
