‘Taylor Swift & Kim Kardashian Feud’ Trend Explained

Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian haven’t publicly reignited their feud, but the internet discussions seem to have brought renewed attention to their conflict. Over the past few weeks, TikTok timelines and YouTube commentaries have been talking about throwbacks, theories, and renewed curiosity about the pop star and the reality mogul’s infamous falling out. Here’s a breakdown.

What is ‘Taylor Swift & Kim Kardashian Feud’ trend about?

Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian’s long-running feud, once one of pop culture’s most infamous clashes, is trending again in 2025. But this time, it’s not because of a new headline or Instagram Story. Instead, it’s TikTok edits, fan breakdowns, and lyric theories that have pulled the old drama back into the spotlight.

It all started in 2016, when Kanye West dropped “Famous,” featuring the line, “I made that b—- famous.” The lyric referenced Swift, and Kardashian, then West’s wife, defended the track, claiming Swift had seemingly approved it in a phone call. To prove it, she posted clips of the conversation on Snapchat. After that, #KimExposedTaylorParty trended, and Swift faced backlash from the rapper’s fans.

Later, Swift used the “snake” image hurled at her online and turned it into the central theme of her Reputation era. She made a full spectacle out of it, including a giant inflatable cobra on her stadium tour. Years later, in a 2023 Time Person of the Year interview, she revealed just how deep the wounds ran, calling the whole situation a “career death” and saying it drove her to isolate herself for a year in a foreign country.

Kardashian, for her part, seems to have remained quiet aside from a source telling People that she’s “over it” and doesn’t understand why Swift keeps “harping on it.” This was not the first time Kardashian had tried to distance herself from the feud. In 2019, she said on Watch What Happens Live that the beef was squashed.

Whether or not the Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian feud is officially over, the internet does not seem to be leaving it anytime soon.
