Why Fans Think Timothée Chalamet Has Shaved His Head

Timothée Chalamet’s recent paparazzi encounters have gotten fans wondering if he has shaved his head. The Call Me by Your Name star appears to be missing his iconic dark curls, sending the internet into a frenzy over a possible dramatic transformation. Fans are eager to get a closer look at Chalamet’s new hairdo, ahead of his highly anticipated return as Paul Atreides in Dune Messiah.

Did Timothée Chalamet go bald?

Timothée Chalamet has yet to officially debut his new look. Hence, it remains unclear whether he has shaved his entire head. However, it does appear that the star has undergone a dramatic transformation (via E! News).

On July 5, Chalamet stepped out with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner in Saint-Tropez, France. During the outing, the actor donned a green bandana layered over a blue Nike baseball cap. Fans were quick to spot that his neck had been freshly shaved, hinting at a possible buzz cut or some other drastic makeover.

Besides the dramatic hairdo, Chalamet has also gotten rid of the thin mustache and goatee that fans have seen him with in the past few months. He had sported the style for his upcoming role as Marty Mauser in Josh Safdie’s sports adventure comedy-drama Marty Supreme.

With his facial hair gone as well as his curls, fans are pondering the reason behind this drastic transformation. Speculations reportedly suggest that he might be getting ready for a new role. Or, it could just be a personal stylistic choice.

This is not the first time that fans have seen Chalamet pull off a unique style. The actor, who played Bob Dylan in the biopic A Complete Unknown (2024), attended the movie’s premiere, flaunting honey-blonde bangs underneath a blue beanie. Needless to say, the hairstyle kept turning heads on the red carpet. A stark shift from his usual style, the look was reportedly an homage to Bob Dylan’s iconic getup at the 2003 Sundance Film Festival.
