Kansas City Chiefs’ starting tight end Travis Kelce has once again landed on the trending charts after a fan added a pinup tattoo to his arm featuring the NFL veteran. So, here’s everything you need to know regarding the ongoing “Travis Kelce pin-up tattoo” trend.

‘Travis Kelce Pin-up Tattoo’ trend explained

A Travis Kelce fan recently inked his arm with a Travis Kelce pinup tattoo. He did it as part of a challenge initiated by the energy drink brand Accelerator Active Energy. This subsequently gave rise to the trend. The update came to light after the Instagram handles of Accelerator Active Energy and Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, shared a collaborative post. The post highlighted the artwork. The tattoo in question features a naked Travis riding on a blue energy drink can.

During the July 2 episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason Kelce shed light on this shocking phenomenon. He noted, “Our friends at Accelerator challenged someone to get a Travis Kelce pin-up tattoo.” The older Kelce sibling further explained Accelerator’s latest marketing tactic by stating, “Drink Accelerator, if somebody gets pin-up Travis with Accelerator tattooed, we’d have to give them an insane amount of cases of Accelerator, I’m assuming.”

Reacting to the bizarre news, Travis Kelce humorously remarked, “Did this s–t for free Accelerator!? Hell yeah.” Jason then lauded Accelerator for their sharp marketing strategy before Travis reiterated his brother’s sentiments by saying, “It’s good. That’s how we get it done over there, Accelerator. It’s what we do.”

Later, the pair revealed Ohio police officer Nick Jones as the fan who now sports a Travis Kelce pinup tattoo on his arm. Sharing his thoughts on the fan being a law enforcement officer, the 35-year-old athlete said, “This is hilarious. And he got 25 cases of Accelerator and a signed Kelce jersey. There you go.”
