Candace Owens Claims She Didn’t Receive Blake Lively’s Subpoena

Candace Owens has been drawn into the ongoing legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Reports that Lively’s legal team issued subpoenas to several online personalities, including Owens, recently surfaced. The political commentator denied receiving any formal notice and criticized the actress for allegedly leaking the information.

Candace Owens slams Blake Lively’s subpoena claims

As the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni escalates, conservative commentator Candace Owens has found herself unexpectedly drawn into the dispute. Reports surfaced on July 1 that Lively’s attorneys issued subpoenas to Owens, Perez Hilton, and YouTuber Andy Signore. TMZ was first to report the subpoenas. These are part of Lively’s efforts to gather evidence against Baldoni, whom she accused of sexual harassment and retaliation.

Owens responded sharply to the news in a statement obtained by TMZ. She said, “Given the fact that I have not received any subpoena yet, I appreciate Blake’s team leaking this to TMZ to alert me to it.” Owens further added, “And of course, I have not the slightest idea what I am being subpoenaed for as I knew none of these parties when their respective lawsuits were filed. But stay tuned, and I’ll let audiences know on my podcast!”

Meanwhile, Baldoni’s $400 million countersuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds was dismissed in June by Judge Lewis J. Liman. Following this ruling, Lively’s lawyers, Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, praised the verdict as a “total victory.” They added, “As we have said from day one, this ‘$400 million’ lawsuit was a sham, and the Court saw right through it.” The legal team also stated they will now move forward with pursuing legal costs and additional damages for what they described as “abusive litigation.” (via PEOPLE)

While neither Lively nor Baldoni has commented directly on the subpoenas, the legal proceedings remain ongoing. The trial is scheduled to begin in March 2026.
