The former manager of Justin Bieber, Scooter Braun, has announced his decision to transition from the role of HYBE America’s CEO. He would still be a part of BTS’ company, HYBE. In his new role, Braun will act as the executive advisor as a director of the board and senior advisor to HYBE Corporation’s chairman, Bang Si-Hyuk.

Braun joined Bang Si Hyuk’s music label HYBE in 2021 when BTS’ company acquired Ithaca Holdings for a reported $1 billion. As a part of the record deal, Braun got a chance to join the board of HYBE and became the co-CEO of HYBE America alongside Lenzo Yoon (via Variety).

In 2023, he became the sole CEO and the second-largest individual shareholder of the company. Additionally, reports have also revealed who will be the successor of Braun as the new CEO of HYBE America.

Isaac Lee, who previously served as the chairman of HYBE America and Latin America, will succeed Braun as CEO while retaining his existing roles. Speaking of Braun’s contribution to HYBE America, Bang Si Hyuk said in a statement, “Scooter has been an extraordinary partner, a visionary executive, and a true catalyst for cultural exchange” (via Billboard).

The 52-year-old billionaire added, “His contributions have been vital in establishing our ambitious presence in the U.S. market. I am deeply grateful for his leadership, his astute instincts and his unwavering passion for artists. We wish him immense success in his exciting next chapter and look forward to continuing our partnership in executing HYBE’s global vision.”

Meanwhile, music fans are curious to find out Braun’s next big move. As per the official statement, his next venture would “reflect his expansive cross-industry vision and proven ability to cultivate culture at scale while continuing a focus on his philanthropic efforts.”

Braun briefly commented on his HYBE journey, noting, “Being a part of HYBE and witnessing its remarkable growth has been one of the most inspiring chapters of my professional journey.”
