Scarlett Johansson recently spoke about her relationship with her twin brother, Hunter, and their time together at the premiere of her new movie, Jurassic World Rebirth. In a recent interview, the Black Widow star shared her family’s enthusiastic reaction to her part in the latest entry in the Jurassic Park franchise while also emphasizing her close bond with Hunter.
What did Scarlett Johansson say about her brother, Hunter?
While speaking with E! News, Scarlett Johansson disclosed that her parents and her five siblings accompanied her to the recent premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth in New York. Scarlett Johansson also noted that her twin brother, Hunter, was the one who showed her the most support during the event.
“He was the loudest audience member. I knew that would be the case because he loves Jurassic so much and was like, there for it,” the veteran actress stated. Johansson then divulged that Hunter would’ve given a similar reaction, regardless of her involvement in the film, simply due to his love for the franchise. Johansson remarked, “He would’ve been there either way because he’s a fan and the movie is so explosive. He was literally orchestrating the John Williams music and was just like, so loud.”
Recalling how catching the Jurassic World Rebirth premiere along with her brother, Hunter, was an enriching experience, Johansson added, “That was really fun because we saw the movie together when we were 9 or 10 in the theater, and here we are in this full circle moment. It’s kind of crazy.”
The actress then shared a heartwarming anecdote from the sets of Rebirth, noting, “Even our first day at work, we landed in Krabi, Thailand, took a car to a boat to another car to another boat to this remote island we were shooting on. By the time we got down to this little jungle path to the beach, you’re like, ‘Oh my god, it’s really Jurassic Park out here!’ It’s just so embedded in my memory.”
Also featuring Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend, alongside Johansson, Jurassic World Rebirth roars into theaters on July 2, 2025.
